Sensei Christian mentioned yesterday the time he spent being conned by this charlatan, the founder of the fake Karate style 'Mushindo'. Sensei Christian was a 'Mushindo' instructor for a few years in the late 1960's. The thing was, Dukes has a level of skill in the martial arts. We believe he had been a student of Kyokushinkai Karate, so unlike most martial arts conmen of the early decades of Karate etc, he had a demonstrable ability, which helped masked the lies he was telling. As I say at the start, : In the kingdon of the blind, the one eyed man is king. Dukes setup 'Mushindo' to be a cult....and conned and abused a great many people in the 1960's and 70's.

Hi I remember nagaboshi aka Terry dukes from mushindo kempo as trained from 1977 till 1990 I was sucked in by this man n his disciples during this time
ReplyDeletewho is this? any results to back up? Terry was quite a skilful sensei, a way over and above many, but sometimes a nasty one. that alienated many, not his ability or researches.

ReplyDeleteIf anyone has any questions about Terry Dukes, I would be happy to address them. I was involved in Mushindo 1983-1999 and was there in the years he was writing 'Bodhisattva Warriors'. If you don't already know: it was all made up.
